LOW CARBON TRAVEL
We use fuel to take you exploring. Our aim is to eventually switch to EV transportation, but until then we do our best to offset our carbon emissions generated by each trip. We fund VCS certified carbon reduction programmes across the world via a range of projects that include carbon avoidance and clean and renewable energy generation. Many are within developing countries, where they also provide additional social benefits. You'll receive a personalized certificate showing our offset donation made on your behalf for each trip you book with us.
KEEPING IT LOCAL
You’ll find no big corporate chains here! We work exclusively with local businesses. This ensures your money goes straight into the communities that you’re visiting. For example, our ‘A Taste of Murcia’ collection of food tours include authentic owner operated restaurant trips and local artisan food & drink producer experiences.
SMALL GROUP TOURS
Our primary aim is to ensure our tours only have a positive impact on the local communities, culture and environment, and that you enjoy a truly authentic experience. To manage this we only run small group tours. As well as increasing your safety and enjoyment, it avoids large, bus crowds of people descending on rural spaces and putting the local infrastructure and amenities under unnecessary pressure.
WHAT IS RESPONSIBLE TOURISM?
You may have already heard similar terms - sustainable tourism, ecotourism, impact travel. We think it’s best summarised as ‘travel that has a positive impact rather than a negative one’.
And that means respecting the environment, but also supporting local communities and making better places for people to live in.
How? By visiting and buying our food from local markets, choosing family run restaurants and educating and immersing ourselves in local culture. In this way, the money spent during travel goes directly to local people and stays within their communities.
